LiVe-SwIm-DrInK Summer Sign

Hi everyone! I cannot believe summer is almost over. I really do not know where the time has gone. Sad face here. I am such a summer person. I love fall and spring too, hate winter though. I felt I needed some inspiration to stop being a Debbie Downer about summer ending, and start appreciating EVERY minute of it! I found a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that I think fits me perfectly. I love it!

I found this steal at a junk store for $10. The frame got painted and sanded. The cardboard back got painted this pretty blue that I’m loving at the moment. The stickers are added to the outside of the glass. I like it being layered and it adds some blingy pizzazz! My favorite kind of pizzazz!

Then I had a fight with my Cricut. It was throwing a tantrum about the scrolly, curly parts of the letters I HAD to use for this sign. There was a lot of cutting, throwing a fit on the floor, a little crying, and even some sweating! Ack!

I did learn that it is possible to cut aluminum foil with the Cricut. Then I decided not to use it. I like the lighter color script style for the “in the”.

The best part, for me, was combining the patterns and colors. Trying to keep the text in a straight line is impossible! Even with a ruler, string, level, and a laser beam<teehee, jk! Maybe I’m just straight line challenged! I do prefer loops and swirls and birdies:) I vow before you all now to always make the letters all higgilty piggilty on all my signs!

I think it turned out really cute! Now my mantel has a proper centerpiece.
